Wij hebben zelf al vaak meegemaakt dat ouders zich jaren later nog kunnen herinneren wanneer en hoe het eerste contact met ons of Steven Wertz was. Daarom is het: Goed nieuws!In mei 2016 kunnen wij opnieuw een kans bieden aan ouders (maar ook begeleiders, professionals, opa's, oma's, andere familieleden etc) van kinderen met autisme en aanverwante problematiek, een cursus te volgen waardoor jij als ouder nog deskundiger wordt, en ook meer vertrouwen krijgt in die deskundigheid. Het zal makkelijker worden je kind thuis te begeleiden. Of dat nu in een thuisprogramma is of naast een schoolprogramma, het is voor ouders van een kind met autisme, essentieel dat je zelf weet hoe je met je kind omgaat. Het is belangrijk dat je zelf weet hoe je moet reageren op gedrag dat je liever niet ziet, hoe je je kind nieuwe vaardigheden aanleert, dat je weet hoe je die vaardigheden selecteert. Het is onze passie ouders te begeleiden zodat zij aan de slag kunnen. Wij leveren maatwerk per kind. Daarnaast vinden wij het een goede aanvulling als wij kunnen organiseren dat ouders getraind kunnen worden door Steven Wertz. Zijn visie, ervaring, deskundigheid en eindeloze kennis op het gebied van deze maatwerk aanpak maakt dat wij hem ieder jaar naar Nederland halen voor het geven van een cursus. Grijp die kans! Our Approach
The Growing Minds program trains parents to provide the most effective education and treatment for their children, using the best methods available, tailored to the specific needs of the child. Playfulness, spontaneity and enjoyment are hallmarks of our approach. This program enables children to feel loved, enjoy the company of others and to grow developmentally.
Children in our programs improve language, communication, social interaction and behavior while also increasing academics, practical and play skills - and they tend to smile quite a bit. Their parents feel more confident because they know what to do and how to do it. The skills parents gain stand them in good stead throughout their lifelong experience of parenting.
